Planning your Northwest Wedding? See Our Gallery of Favorite Locations
Bart and Elena’s incredible surf-filled wedding started, went and ended, you guessed it, on the beach. With an unbelievable ceremony with arranged driftwood benches, hand laid rock altar and finished off with a 3 day surf trip and went down as one of the most fun I’ve ever been lucky enough to capture.
Sun, sand and sunsets, while a Hawaiian destination getaway may not be the subject this time around (more from Hawaii later) an equally incredible, more than accommodating and far more affordable option featuring all three really does still exist; The Pacific Northwest. Namely Washington and this gallery is dedicated to some of our favorite locations we’ve been lucky to shoot so far, along with amazing couples with adventurous spirits and a passion for the sense of place they wanted for the memories from their big wedding days.
From the refreshing ocean beaches of La Push, to the dry arid deserts and oases of Central and Eastern Washington, to the lush green and salty air of the San Juan Islands, I’ve just about covered it all in Washington and creating this gallery represents a decade of work capturing the important memories for friends, friends of friends and all manner of clients in between.
Surf trips, intimate gatherings, massive hoopla’s and down home farm style. All of them unique and all of them original. It’s been nearly impossible to try and whittle down just a handful of images (sometimes a handful from the same wedding) from literal thousands of images but it has been worth the shot to not only strolling through hundreds of joyful memories, but a refreshing take on what is possible in my beautiful home state.
Take a look and hopefully like me, you’ll be inspired by what is possible all over again. If you do take a look, thank you for doing so.

Travis and Sarah make a quick escape outside of Edison, WA for the epic northwest sunset
Sientel and Gherome knew exactly what they wanted captured for their awesome Mt Baker wedding, and the nature of Northwest never disappoints. This epic shot was as exciting as it was deafening!
Sientel and Gherome’s wedding was simply the gift that kept on giving. I had the hardest time and utterly failed at not overshooting, and I’ve never been more happy about it. Mt Shuksan in the background while Sientel and her perfectly chosen bouquet compliment the snowy scene at Mt Baker.
What more could ask for in a family photo? Shincho and Christina had a wonderful ‘must-get’ shot list and this one was right near the top. Look like ever kid is embarrassed by their parents at some point, no matter the species.. Samish Island, Washington.
Laney and Eric chose central Washington as their backdrop for their perfect July summer wedding. The Colombia River Gorge delivered with some of the best late afternoon lighting and weather I’ve ever been lucky enough to have, and I tried my best to do it justice.
No one ever looks too good or stays too proud to have a good time!
Harry and Brie’s unbelievably classy Seattle wedding went off without a hitch and we covered some GROUND.. from downtown, to the waterfront, Court in the Square and capping it off with an epic rooftop sunset.
100-year-old church? Check. Barn reception? Check. Rip-roarin hoot-hollerin time for your epic country wedding? Check check check. Rachel and Travis getting it done right on the family farm on the Waterville Plateau of Washington’s Columbia River Basin.
Adrienne looking absolutely stunning for her and Johnny’s New Years Eve eve, Roche Harbor wedding on San Juan Island. Yes we have islands and yes, they are amazing.
Jordan and Cara had a ridiculously nostalgic and incredible summer camp style wedding at gorgeous Lake Crescent, Washington. Replete with cabins for everyone to stay, one EPIC reception, and a finale lake-jump around 2 AM for the send off. Slow clap.
Jamie and Alex, Whidbey Island. Summer, slow dancing, incredible location, perfect weather. Llamas. What more could a photographer ask for?
Kelsey making our eyes and screens pop with the perfect colors at Evergreen Gardens, Washington.
I don’t know who thought they were luckier; me being able to snap this photo or these guys for getting to stand so close to the bride!
Nikki and Marsie knew exactly where they wanted their ceremony to be, and never missed a step getting tons of awesome pictures at Cutthroat Lake outside Mazama, Washington.
